چکیده
Studies reporting on associations between short-term exposure to outdoor fine (PM 2.5 ), and ultrafine particles (UFP) blood pressure lung function have been inconsistent. Few studies characterized by personal monitoring, which especially for UFP may resulted in substantial measurement error. We investigated the association 24-h average UFP, PM , soot dose health parameters function. further assessed concentrations measured at a central monitoring site near residences these outcomes. performed three measurements 132 healthy adults from Basel (Switzerland), Amsterdam Utrecht (the Netherlands), Turin (Italy). Monitoring of each subject was conducted different seasons one-year study period. Subject's activity levels associated ventilation rates were using actigraphy calculate inhaled dose. After session, measured. Contemporaneously with measurements, subject's residential address research area. Associations outcomes tested linear mixed effect models. The mean personal, exposures not or 2-h prior test also Personal, positively systolic (about 1.4 mmHg increase per Interquartile range). Personal diastolic (1.2 0.9 No consistent observed. Short-term pressure, but • fine, (PE). studied 24-hr PE pressure.

Short-term air pollution exposure decreases lung function: a repeated measures study in healthy adults
BACKGROUND Daily changes in ambient concentrations of particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and ozone are associated with increased cardiopulmonary morbidity and mortality, with the lungs and their function being a vulnerable target. METHODS To evaluate the association between daily changes in air pollution and lung function in healthy adults we obtained annual lung function measurements from a...

Chronic exposure to outdoor air pollution and lung function in adults.
BACKGROUND The extent to which chronic exposure to outdoor air pollutants influences lung function in adults is unclear. The aim of this study was to measure the association between chronic exposure to outdoor air pollutants and adult lung function. METHODS The relationship between measures of lung function (forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV(1)) and FEV(1) as a percentage of forced vital c...
متن کاملLung cancer, cardiopulmonary mortality, and long-term exposure to fine particulate air pollution.
CONTEXT Associations have been found between day-to-day particulate air pollution and increased risk of various adverse health outcomes, including cardiopulmonary mortality. However, studies of health effects of long-term particulate air pollution have been less conclusive. OBJECTIVE To assess the relationship between long-term exposure to fine particulate air pollution and all-cause, lung ca...
